On November 2, 2025, a delegation led by the Minister of Agriculture of Papua New Guinea visited Sichuan Tranlong Agricultural Equipment Group Co., Ltd. The delegation conducted on-site inspections of the company’s research and development achievements in agricultural machinery for hilly and mountainous areas and held discussions on tractor procurement needs. The visit aimed to deepen agricultural technology cooperation between the two countries and help Papua New Guinea improve its level of mechanization in grain production.
The delegation visited Tranlong product showroom, focusing on its full range of tractors from 20 to 130 horsepower and related agricultural implements. The Minister personally test-drove the CL400 tractor and expressed high approval of its adaptability to complex terrain. Mr. Lü, the foreign trade manager of Tranlong, introduced the company’s innovative products developed for hilly and mountainous areas, such as tracked tractors and high-speed rice transplanters. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on technical parameters, localization adaptation, and other details.
The Papua New Guinean delegation clearly expressed its need to purchase tractors in bulk, planning to use them in the construction of rice planting demonstration areas. The Minister stated that Tranlong experience in applying agricultural machinery in hilly areas is highly compatible with the agricultural conditions of New Guinea, and he looked forward to increasing local grain production through cooperation. Both parties agreed to establish a special working group to refine the procurement plan and technical training program.
